Splash & Ripple have been Architects of Extraordinary Adventures since 2011. Our dynamic and multi-talented team are a mix of full and part-time staff, freelancers and regular collaborators. Led by a genderqueer director, our stories foreground talent from marginalised communities.

Rosie Poebright

Rosie (she/they/he) is coFounder and Creative Director of Splash & Ripple. They’re a storyteller, digital artist and real-world game designer researching a PhD in Embodied Storytelling. Rosie’s been making playful interactions for the public since 2007. Making experiences that transport people from the day-to-day to the extraordinary, where they can explore new ways of thinking, feeling and being using audience interactivity and embodiment. Rosie’s also in the 4th Year of a PhD studying the Embodied Story at UWE.

Zodwa Nyoni

Zodwa Nyoni (she/her) is a playwright, poet and screenwriter published by Bloomsbury. She was 2014’s Writer in Residence at the Leeds Playhouse via Ch4’s Playwrights’ Scheme and was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. She’s made short films with the Young Vic, National Trust, Tyneside Cinema, BBC Films and BFI Film Hub North. Zodwa is currently under commission by the Kiln Theatre and Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre.

Luke Emery

Luke (he/him) comes from a background in independent producing. He’s worked with independent arts organisations and artists across theatre, digital, live art, performance and site-specific events. He has produced work across the world, including tours to Sweden, Canada, America and Australia. Luke is a member of the Creative Producers International cohort, and has undertaken research trips around the arts in Latvia and Denmark.

Deanna Roger

Deanna (she/her) is a leading force for contemporary poetry who performs internationally to critical acclaim. With commissions from St Paul’s Cathedral and BBC Sport, Deanna also teaches at Brunel University and UWE, and tutors at the School of Communication Arts. Her a performance poetry collection, I Did It Too, was released in 2017.

Tim Lo/ TIM LYTC

Tim Lo (they/them) is an inter-disciplinary movement artist who works in theatre, film and creative tech. Their practice is centred on how the physical body can express, communicate, and deepen the experience of spoken language and visual performance. Through their work, they advocate for queer, race, gender and health issues.

Tarim

Tarim (he/him) is a creative technologist who builds installations people can play with. He designs and implements the technology behind these installations and is fascinated by the ways that people interact with them. Over the years, he has collaborated with many different artists on pieces for festivals, exhibits and interactive theatre.

Kat Francois

Kat (she/her) is a performance artist, writer and director. She is a UK, BBC 3 and World Slam Poetry Champion. Her two solo plays, Seven Times Me and Raising Lazarus, have toured the UK and internationally. She runs a weekly women's writing group and a youth writing and performance group.

Danny Prosser

Danny (he/him) is an arts manager, producer, theatre maker and performer. He’s one third of theatre company Massive Owl and studio manages Jamaica St Studios. Danny was Producer for Thorny and Ausform and has toured work internationally and at the Barbican, HOME, Mayfest and Outnow festival.

Michelle Roche

Michelle (she/her) is a multi-heritage POC creative producer, artist, writer and entrepreneur with an MA in Experimental Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her engaging and often community driven immersive work creates magic in our otherwise 'normal' lives. She is co-founder of WeRebel, challenging inequality through the arts.
